Closing Bell: The NASDAQ closed UP +13.95 (+0.46%) to 3030.93 while the DOW is DOWN -7.43 (-0.06%) to 13,164.71.
Stocks bounced between small gains and losses in thin trading Wednesday. For most of the week, equities have been drifting sideways, with the RegMed universe volumes being extremely light due to seasonality and little news.
The earnings releases in the last two weeks are getting some chatter that any regulatory updates are not … necessarily validating the pipelines. Right now, the RegMed universe is sort of like a child throwing a tantrum, because it wants more … news!!
The CBOE volatility index is below 15. Breadth was moderately positive with universe gainers (14) leading losers (10) and flats (4).
