RegMed Daily, Closing Bell, 2/27/12, stocks rise, slipped under 13,000 again, after a 100 point drop
EOD Commentary: Stocks held gains Monday, with the Dow … flirting with and above 13,000 <for 2 hours ?> … helped by some positive economic news. On the economic front, pending home sales gained 2% to 97.0, surging to a nearly 2 year high in January; according to the National Association of Realtors <economists polled by Reuters had expected an increase of 1%>.With stocks doing so well, it’s only natural that many on Wall Street including … myself are predicting a big pullback …but so far, at least … that hasn’t happened.
Closing Bell: The NASDAQ closed UP +2.41 (+0.08%) to 2,966.16. The Dow closed DOWN -1.44 (-0.01%) to 12,981.51.
