Boston Biomedical Research Institute (BBRI) Responds

BBRI issued a statement on NIH support of human embryonic stem cell research:

Boston Biomedical Research Institute (BBRI) is committed to scientific excellence and research that furthers our understanding and treatment of human disease. In furtherance of this commitment, BBRI fully endorses the funding of research programs by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) across the country, including those involving human embryonic stem cells.

Recently, Dr. James Sherley, a BBRI investigator, commenced a civil action against NIH seeking to prohibit its funding of human embryonic stem cell research.  While BBRI recognizes that Dr. Sherley has the legal right to pursue this course of action on his own behalf, BBRI is not in … any way … participating in Dr. Sherley’s actions.

Dr. Sherley’s position on this issue neither represents nor reflects that of BBRI.

Now, that is a well worded statement … that resounds … BBRI’s position? (www.bbri.org)
